Sublimation Printing on T-Shirts
Instructions for Sublimation Printing on T-Shirts
- Insert a clean sheet of paper or silicone between the front and back of the t-shirt to prevent ink from bleeding through.
- Lay your bag flat on the heat press platform and cover it with a silicone sheet.
- While your heat press is heating up, Pre-press the t-shirt for 3 seconds to eliminate moisture and wrinkles, ensuring a smooth surface for the transfer.
Transfer Process
- Once the pre-press is complete, remove the silicone sheet and position your sublimation transfer face down (with the image side facing the t-shirt).
- Align the transfer according to your preference, ensuring it is straight.
Final Steps
- Cover the t-shirt with a silicone sheet and ensure the heat press has reached the correct temperature.
- Close the press and wait for the timer to finish. (Note: If your press does not have an automatic timer start function, be sure to press the OK button.)
- When the timer ends and the alarm sounds, open the press and carefully remove the silicone and transfer paper.
Your t-shirt is now complete! Please remember that it will be warm, so take the necessary precautions.
Key Tips for Success
- No Moisture: Pre-pressing is vital to prevent bubbling or uneven transfers.
- Secure Taping: Prevents “ghosting” or blurred images caused by shifting.
- Work Quickly Post-Press: Removing the paper while hot ensures the best ink release.
