What’s in the Box? A Guided Unboxing

Your Cameo 5 is securely packed. In this lesson, we’ll unbox every single item and explain its purpose.

Step 1: Carefully open the main box and remove the foam supports.

This ensures you don’t damage any components during the unboxing process.

Step 2: Identify each component:

• The Silhouette Cameo® 5 machine (the main unit)
• AC Adapter & Power cable set (to power your machine)
• Cutting Mat (This is sticky! It holds your materials in place for cutting.)
• AutoBlade – Type B (This is the primary blade for cutting various materials.)
• Blade adjustment tool (used for specific blade types, though the AutoBlade adjusts automatically)

Step 3: CRITICAL – Remove All Security Tape!

Your machine has blue tape holding moving parts in place during shipping. Look carefully inside and outside the machine, including on the tool carriage and under the lid, and gently peel away every piece. Failing to remove all tape can prevent your machine from functioning correctly.
